Galloway Consolidated Holdings, parent company to Bema Incorporated, Elite Extrusion Technology and Bema Digital Innovations; a recognized leading supplier to the flexible packaging industry; is looking for a 2nd Shift Slitting Operator, with a proven track record in supporting a fast-paced organization. GCH encourages innovation from its associates, employs the latest technology and has aggressive expansion plans. This position will support our facility in St. Charles, Illinois.
Salary Range: $25-$29/Hourly
Responsibilities & Duties
Set up and operate slitting machinery efficiently and safely.
Read and interpret work orders and follow instructions accurately.
Perform quality checks throughout the production process to ensure high-quality output.
Meet or exceed production goals for run rates, waste reduction, and efficiency.
Perform basic math calculations as required for production and measurements.
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Apply basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues.
Maintain high quality standards and attention to detail at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications & Skills
2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Physically capable of standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and pulling for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Willing and able to work overtime as needed
Strong commitment to following all company policies and American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards
