Galloway Consolidated Holdings, parent company of Bema Incorporated, Elite Extrusion Technology and Bema Digital Innovations; a recognized leading supplier to the flexible packaging industry; is looking for an experienced Flexographic Prepress Technician, with a proven track record in supporting a fast-paced organization. GCH encourages innovation from its associates, employs the latest technology and has aggressive expansion plans. This position will support our facility in Elmhurst and St. Charles, Illinois.
Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000/ Year
Responsibilities & Duties
3–5 years of strong hands-on experience in the Flexographic printing process
- Solid color management experience
- Proficient in Macintosh OS and Windows environments
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong working knowledge of Esko Artwork Software
- Experience with workflow building and automation
- Skilled in color separation output and trapping techniques
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Digital press workflow and prepress knowledge
- Ability to objectively evaluate employee performance and provide training/coaching to improve team performance
Qualifications & Skills
Receive, review, manipulate, edit, and process customer electronic files for printing.
- Analyze customer files for fonts, images, color accuracy, and printability to ensure all specifications are met.
- Perform thorough quality assurance on proofs, files, and plates.
- Identify and troubleshoot file issues efficiently and effectively.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal departments and external customers to ensure smooth workflow and resolve inquiries or complaints.
- Organize job flow and prioritize customer needs.
- Stay current with new technologies in the prepress process and recommend improvements to enhance operations.
- Maintain prepress equipment and coordinate scheduled maintenance.
- Cover Plant Manager responsibilities in their absence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies and American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards.
