Galloway Consolidated Holdings, the parent company of Bema, Incorporated, Elite Extrusion Technology and Bema Digital Innovations; a recognized leading supplier to the flexible packaging industry; is looking for a 2nd Shift Material Handler.
We encourage innovation from our associates, employ the latest technology and have aggressive expansion plans. This position will support our facility in St. Charles, Illinois.
Salary Range: $21 -$26/Hourly
Responsibilities & Duties
Safely operate a forklift and perform daily equipment inspections and checks.
- Issue and deliver supplies to the production team as needed.
- Move finished goods from the production floor to designated areas in a timely manner.
- Assist with scrap removal and disposal.
- Operate scanners for accurate inventory tracking and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards.
- Receive incoming materials from the dock area, verifying that paperwork matches delivered goods.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good reading, writing, and basic math abilities
- Computer skills, particularly with inventory management systems
- Previous forklift and material handling experience preferred
- Ability to work 2nd shift and overtime as needed
- Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Physically capable of standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and pulling for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
