Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000/year
Responsibilities & Duties
Role Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility assets. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
Technical Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems to the component level.
- Comprehensive operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, and 3-phase power systems.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring A/C and D/C drives, alongside advanced PLC and electronic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and parts lists.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their integrated components.
- Working knowledge of power transmission equipment, including bearings, gearboxes, and belt drives.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new machinery and execute precision modifications to existing equipment to improve performance.
- Perform regular preventive and predictive maintenance on all production and facility assets to minimize downtime.
- Execute equipment calibrations and utilize electrical test equipment to ensure systems are operating within specified parameters.
- Diagnose and repair automated systems, communication devices, and various industrial sensors and switches.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and procedures, including the maintenance of facility Food Safety Standards.
Soft Skills & Physical Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Experienced in the safe operation of hand and power tools, shop equipment, and electrical diagnostic tools.
- Basic welding experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3–5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience within a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Direct experience in Flexible Packaging or Blown Film manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Knowledgeable in OSHA safety regulations and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and basic digital literacy for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to support “on-call” rotations and weekend shifts to ensure continuous production and facility uptime.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks safely at heights and from ladders or aerial lifts.
