Galloway Consolidated Holdings, the parent company of Bema Incorporated, Elite Extrusion Technology and Bema Digital Innovations; a recognized leading supplier to the flexible packaging industry; is looking for a 2nd Shift Bag & Pouch Machine Operator.
We encourage innovation from our associates, employ the latest technology and have aggressive expansion plans. This position will support our facility in St. Charles, Illinois.
Salary Range: $20 -$24/Hourly
Responsibilities & Duties
Maintain full compliance with all AIB, quality, safety, company policies, and procedures, including proper housekeeping standards.
Read job specifications and previous run data to determine required machine adjustments and material needs, ensuring the job is properly prepared prior to set-up.
Monitor machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions and make necessary corrections to maintain product quality standards.
Perform minor machine maintenance, including changing zippers, dies, seal bars, and punches.
Accurately and timely complete all required production documentation.
Consistently meet or exceed established standards for line speeds, scrap reduction, and set-up times.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience required
Dependable with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with other operators
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Solid understanding of safety practices and procedures
Mechanical aptitude is preferred
Willing and able to work overtime as needed
Physically capable of standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and pulling for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Commitment to following all company policies and American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards
