Galloway Consolidated Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Bema, Inc., Elite Extrusion Technology and Bema Digital Innovations; a recognized leading supplier to the flexible packaging industry; is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer.
We encourage innovation from our associates, employ the latest technology and have aggressive expansion plans. This position will support our facility in St. Charles, Illinois.
Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000/year
Responsibilities & Duties
This position manages the purchasing department in all phases, develops, and executes plans that support the organization’s procurement needs.
• Manages all aspects of supply chain and advises management of potential risks.
• Works with suppliers initiating business and developing organizational partnerships.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure fair and advantageous terms.
• Development, implementation, and oversight of a supplier approval/review program.
• Visit and certify strategic supply partners to ensure compliance with Company objectives.
• Continuous review and replacement of suppliers, when required.
• Relies on professional discretion to achieve goals.
• Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the company as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
• 3+ years’ experience in sourcing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Attention to Detail.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and vendors.
• Work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities at once.
• Help ensure all policies for the company and vendor certifications are adhered to.
• Experience in the manufacturing of flexible packaging products is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of Micro Soft Dynamics NAV / PrintVis is a plus.
• Strong computer skills a must.
